I watched Zac wrestle as well he is a great little wrestler and I wish him continued success. If he would get rid of his cocky little attitude, it would even be more fun to watch him wrestle.

Yea, well if your that good I think that you can afford to have a little cockyness to you. As long as you aren't breaking any rules I see nothing wrong with it. (but I also like to see the little kids with the bad @$$ attitude, hence my point of view)
Hey Butt-Head what did people do before they invented TV? Don't be stupid Beavis there's always been TV, there's just more channels now. Oh yeah, heh heh hehe... progress is cool. Heh hehe heh

I think Zac is great. My son has become friends with him. Zac along with C. Williams sat beside the mat cheering on their friend and yelling out advice trying to help. When he lost that match their heads hit the floor. People that are to cocky don't have friends because they don't need them but Zac has plenty of friends.

Zac is a great wrestler and a great kid. You will not find better student of the sport. He lives and breaths it. We call him the computer, he watches all the good matches and can tell you who won what and by how much, from kids up thru college. I think sometimes his focus and confidence get miss understood as being cocky. As a coach, I love Zac's attitude. He is one of the hardest working, least selfish, best workout partners in the room. And most importantly, Zac is a winner and will do well in what ever he attempts.

Zac did have ringworm and we went through all of the necessary steps outlined by Kansas Wrestling. He went to Wesley on Tuesday night and got the treatment started and to his physician on Thursday morning and he signed the form saying he was not contagious to anyone. Does this answer your question or should I go into some more detail to cover your concern?

No reason to get defensive I simply asked a question. If my kid had ringworm or some other type of contagious aliment I would expect some questions from others & answer pleasantly knowing it would be a cause for concern. Thank you for your answer.

Dear sixshooter:
You state: "If my kid had ringworm or some other type of contagious aliment I would expect some questions from others & answer pleasantly knowing it would be a cause for concern."
My answer: Knowing the rules regarding communicable and contagious diseases in this situation prior to asking this type of question is certainly advisable. The State Tournament Officials were provided with the proper documentation, therefor Zac was allowed to participate.
I also strongly suggest, when making a derogatory post regarding a child, to leave your NAME.

Sixshooter- you should no better than to try and mask a remark like that. Too many people in the wichita area consider each other family members because they are part of the wrestling community. Sure we have our differences, but we all know nobody messes with family! Zach is a great wrestler and person. I find few kids his age that are as respectful and polite to adults as him. The only real problem with him is that he lives on the wrong side of Andover. Congratulations to Zach on his state championship and his brother Jake on another successful season.

"The only real problem with him is that he lives on the wrong side of Andover." Well that and if we ever check his birth certificate we'll find he should be in the 14U age class.

how is it derogatory to voice a concern of all the other kids that he wrestled? if my frist post was not deleted by "someone" you would of seen where i said he was a great wrestler! you all take things out of context way too much, settle down, just a concern

Dear sixshooter:
Your concern was adequately addressed and answered by the Officials at the State Tournament.
You chose to be a smart aleck and take the cowards approach and mount a veiled attack on a child.
Were you expressing legitimate concern, you likely would have left your name.

Well by rule if there had been a designated physician at the state tournament he could have overruled the doctors note. If someone had a conern about it they should have brought it up before the tournament started and got it all sorted. It sounds to me like the situation was handled by the book and correctly.
