This was a GREAT match and your right it could have gone to Bowman...but i also believe if he hadnt ran the entire match he might have been beaten worse or if it stayed close the refs might have been more likely to give him his 2 for the take down.

If Bowman won why did they raise the hand of Jones. They raise the winners hand not the losers.

Bowman slapped at Jones's face and ran in circles or backwards the entire match. When he did get close he just tried to jump over Jones. I admit it was a good match, but Bowman never got close enough for Jones to get to him.

Bowman won, everyone knows it! People say Jones would of beat him by a lot more if Bowman would of wrestled instead of "running around and slapping his face" but Jones did the exact same thing, he just stayed in one spot, what do you expect Bowman to do? So Bowmans style worked, if thats how Bowman can beat him, then it works. And the ref did raise Jones hand but it was obvious by his apology to Bowman that he raised the wrong hand.

You are right Jones did stay in 1 spot, but let me think for a sec..... um oh yea he doesnt run out of bounds or back up, he cant. I just looked @ the video tape and Bowman backed out of bounds and restart no less than 4 times Jones not once. Jones is a classy individual and a very fine young man when anyone from C-ville sees this young man you tell him there are plenty of people in his corner willing to support a fine individual who doesnt complain win or lose.

That was Bowmans way of beating him. And I have watched the video too, if thats how people have to beat him then thats how they should do it. Bowman is a fine wrestler and person who doesn't complain either, I know of many people that can back all that up too, but that has nothing to do with the match. The fact is that Jones CAN be beat, and a lot of people won't accept that. Bowman backed up and slapped his head, so what, maybe that was his srategy, but that has nothing to do with the last 10 seconds.

I agree with wrestle_mo... wrestling Earl Jones requires wrestlers to use a different style than they are used to and after seeing the match and watching the video, I think that Bowman adapted very well and if it wasn't for a mistake by the refs (which they admitted to), Bowman would have had his hand raised in the end.

Dwelsh- Marcus Bowman is a junior from Columbus Kansas who placed 4th at state last year. He wrestled Earl Jones at the Caney Tourn. last weekend and lost 3-2 though many people think that he had a takedown in the last seconds that he wasn't given points for.

Earl Jones is a two time returning state champion. He has only one leg, so his style is a little different. He is very good!!!!!!!!

Exactly...his style is different, it's not wrestling around, its just staying in one spot until he can suck a guy in, so ones that wrestling him have to wrestle in a way that they are not use to, like what was said before. Bowman did an awesome job with Jones style, way to go Bowman, you won it!

I never saw the match. I do know the one with the most points won and it seems that was Jones. Quit Crying. It obviously was a close match that could have gone either way, this time, but JONES WON!!!!

well i think that is was good, but you have to give it to bowman because he is wrestling a kid that should be at least a 60 pounder. well i am sure that i can beat alot of people if i could wrestle about 25 pounds light.if he had the leg like the rest of us then he would have someone his own size to wrestle. come on you all know.
