Coaches please check the KWCA records to see if you had any wrestler break any state records. As of now I know of three that were broken this year. Chaz Hill /Shawnee Mission NW points in a season 279, Derek Lang/ Baldwin, Most wins in a season 46, and Willy Cochran/Gardner-Edgerton Escapes in a season 65

bob, what do you want? only state records, or random stats that beat the ones listed on that site. i have records from SMW dating back to the mid 70's. There are lots of guys that are ahead of most of the names on there. is it by weight class/classification?

Did Cornejo beat the record for most pins in a season. Or least amount of time on the mat at a state tournament.

Cornejo certainly did dominate, that's for sure. Who has the best win-pin ratio for four time qualifiers all time?

are you talking about just at the state tourny? because if not, then no, Lee Larson had an 8 second pin at the Ottowa duals this year, and Jeb Woodford had an 8 second pin last year

How many times did the same pair meet in the finals? Nathan Payne and Mike Steinmetz have to be close meeting each other three consecutive years for the state title. Any body remember duos that met all four years in the championship?

Drennan had that pin I think at the Minneapolis Tournament didn't he? There was a really fast fall at Las Vegas in 2002 CKLV Invite in the 125 class, some guy got pinned in like 4 seconds. Fastest National Championship I've seen was 18 seconds at 125 when an Adams State guy pinned a UNO guy, they both had each other's legs but no one had control, the one guy's shoulders hit the mat and the ref (a good old Kansas guy too) slapped the mat, and it was over. Lot of people were shocked, and confused....we were happy because that allowed us to finish tied for 3rd.

I don't see how its possible to get a 3 second pin. The shoulder have to be down for two seconds by rule to even be a pin. SO tht measn you'd have to take hin to his back in 1 or 2 seconds.

Cornejo was only 2 pins away from the state record

You have no control over what the other guy does. You only have control over what you do.

Did Zac Sheets get the record for most Double Overtime matches at State in a Career? Or possibly consecutive state matches with double overtime?
