Venegas, is a BA. I don't think there is hvy. in Kansas that can beat him, let alone the metro. However, I haven't seen Grant, but still Venegas is unstoppable, at least that is what Schieber thinks.

Is there anyone around here that is a senior and a 103? That would be pretty sweet seeing an actual 103 sr wrestle out there.

It's pronounced "Prant."
And I wrestle 171, not heavyweight. Also, I've never wrestled Venegas.
Plus, I live in Manhattan.

uh, yeah kimzey is better than grant, much better. and venegas would not kill kimzey. in fact, dennis was tellin me about a time when he wrestled venegas in kids and it was a close match. how many times has grant beat dennis? hmmm, twice in about 4 years i think.

Hello everyone, this is my first time on, not that it is significant. I was checking out the posts and couldn't help but notice the 275 weight class arugument over who should wrestle. I haven't seen a lot of heavyweights, I have watched Grant and Kimzey enought to know that Dennis has beat him 8 out of the 10 times they have wrestled. To me that really means nuthin cuz every match is a new match. And for Venegas I haven't seen him wrestle since kids. I helped out with The kids wrestling team for Linn County. Yeah, he beat Kimzey but it was Kimzey's first year. As far as dropping on him on his head, yeah he did that too but i can't help but remembering that He started crying when Kimzey's older brother went and told him how unsportsman like it was. As far as wrestlers gettin on this website and dissing each other, I think that they have no dignity and probably lack self confidence. Whoever gets to wrestle in the Metroclassic i award them, but forget about that right now, there are still regionals and state. Anywho, just thought i would put my two cents in, i got a lot more i could say, but i won't for now. After state is over, i'll tell ya who will be wrestling in the metroclassic at 275.

Yeah Venegas does suck. Even if he's the Defending state champ. I believe grant would kill him.

Sommers pinned Konrath from STA and beat Powers once, in fact it was on the same day.

I think Powers and Sommers are at the same level and if Powers is healed by sat. he might see him again.

Chieftain my lost friend from Tongy,
How can you make such a ridiculous comment?? Powers and Sommers are 1-1. Sommers was 4th in the state at 160 and Powers was 6th at 152 last year. Both kids are extremely tough and we all know when they wrestle the match will be decided in the 3rd period. These 2 are pretty evenly match and Sommer COULD touch him.

hey rugby bob as far as i remeber the only person crying was kimzey his older brother was like 17-18 at the time and i was 14 and i was ready to beat his face in but an older team mate of mine toold me not to and we left and as far as the metro goes shane will win state in 4a and i beat him so it will be me at the metro or it will be both of us with kimzey sitting at home shane will come to wrestle at state so be ready

I can't imagine anyone seriously thinking Grant or Kimzey would beat Venegas. I think the Grsnt -Kimzey match would be a good one but they can't realistically think they would beat Venegas.

Venegas isn't God. I think if shane wrestled a little smarter and maybe shot on him he could of beat him. Its too bad they can't wrestle again.

No Venegas isn't God. I don't think he is even a real great wrestler.... as in ability to execute moves quickly and tactically profecient. Unfortunately Grant isn't that either. They are typical heavyweights and Venegas is a much better physical specimen. Physically he appears very superior to any other heavyweight I have seen this year.

Is B.J. Nixdorf hurt or something I was just looking at the Missouri web sight and he is not listed in their districts or sectionals as winning a top four slot. SOlid wrestler, tough kid, for a Missouri wrestler anyway.
