Andover High, Andover Central, Augusta, Chaparral, Columbus, Douglass, Emporia, Labette County, Towanda Circle, Valley Center and Wichita Southeast.

Why would Emporia leave the Derby Tournament for that one?
So they could get a Championship?
Columbus, Emporia and Augusta will be the top three.

Why did they kick Emporia out? Emporia is one of the better wrestling teams out there. They always have a solid team and place in alot of tournements.

No Way! You have to be kidding? Emporia is always a top team and I have never heard anything negative about them. I hope that is not true.

Amen to the Hospitality room. That place is the best I've ever been to in my 30 plus years out of school either coaching, officiating, or covering for the Newspaper. LIke to give it more than two thumbs up, but in spite of what Coach Alley says, I'm not all thumbs.
Oh Yea, here are your results from the tournament. Augusta Wrestling Results

I'll have pictures up by morning, promise....

Hovey, thanks for the brackets! Yes, the hospitality room is the best! Thanks to all the wrestling moms for their hard work! We would love to have Emporia back to the tournament next year.

No I wasn't slamming Augusta, if it came out that way that was not my intention. I was just wondering why Emporia went to a different Tournament just a few miles away? These days there are teams that have to change Tournaments because of money restrictions. That could have been why because that is a one day Tournament instead of a Hotel Friday night for a two day Tournament? I can’t believe it was because they are too good? Bishop Carroll & Ark City is at Derby. It must have been something else? No big deal.

Blue Valley Northwest & Hutchinson must have Tremendous Booster Clubs? They wrestled their first Tournament in Kansas this weekend.

I have been in Rose Hill 9 years and as far as I know we only beat Augusta once? I have no problem with the Augusta people or the quality of their wrestling team.

Congratulations to Marcus Bowman, of Columbus on being voted the Brian Luinstra Most Valuable Wrestler. This I believe is twice in the two years of the award for it to be won by a Columbus wrestler.
