I'm working on my yearly complete bracket predictions (about as possible as March Madness, but fun) and I wanted to start a topic for questions about kids/matches people aren't familiar w/ as the fill out their brackets. I'll start:
How close was the Kepka(Lyons) v. Ceman(P-burg) final match at Beloit?

The Kepka match was 8-7. Ceman also lost to Mosley of Wichita Independent in the finals of the Prairie Sr. in Hays

Anybody know why Patterson (GP) defaulted to Garvin (BS) in Fredonia finals? Have they ever met? Is that Patterson's loss?

Another default question:
Manwaring(BT) and Sheer(GP) in the Fredonia finals... anyone know the story? Their head to head history?

The Burlington guy has shoulder problems and i guess he injured it in the semi-finals at Fredonia and he didnt want to hurt it anymore i guess against Jaren.

I believe Ceman's losses are to Kepeka (Lyons), Mosley (Wichita Ind.), Hoseli (Concordia) and a kid out of Nebraska. Ceman handled Keiswetter at the Phillipsburg/Norton dual, and beat him in OT at the MCL Tournament.

Yeah, but Keiswetter also beat the kids that Cemen have lost to.. He handled Hoseli of Concordia in the finals at the panther classic and He also beat Daniel Tibbles of Colby..

Who they beat last week or last month is only a part of the picture. Just as importantly is who has been getting better? Who has wrestled the most tough matches and unfamiliar places and is cool under pressure? Who wrestles for a team that every year goes to state and does better than they are ranked and who wrestles for a team that is ranked up and then goes to state and doesn't live the hype? OK really who is mentally tough? Ok and also who parties all night at Hays and who doesn't? These things are of tremendous importance.

Amen TIGER-75.... i think the key to beating Cemen is to wrestle with technique... Cemen is a physical kid thats pritty strong. this kid can shoot deep.

Hey Tiger-75 do you have any answers to the questions you asked? And by the way, those are some good questions.

Madden of Norton and Burtin of Eureka wrestled in the semifinals at state in 2003, Madden won 6 to 4. As for Patterson of Garden Plain he didn't wrestle aganist Garvin of Baxter Springs in the finals at the Fredonia Regional because of a shoulder injury and yes that is his only loss. Also Manwaring of Burlington didn't wrestle Sheer of Garden Plain because of a hurt shoulder, but when they wrestled at the Eureka Invitanional Manwaring beat Sheer in a close finals match.
