This topic was inspired by the "Show'n the leg" topic by Prant Garker.
I am always interested in those fancy singlets that wrestlers wear to wrestle in the finals or consolation finals. Ive seen a lot of cool ones in my day and was wondering if others would share the sweet ones they have seen and some of the uglist. Especially would like to hear the singlets from out west, dont see those too often. Proceed sharing immediatly...
Some cool ones i have seen: - Olathe East: All orange w/ old school lettering on the front of the singlet w/ a big fat "O" on the chest. - SMS: All "Golden Gopher" gold w/ the Raider symbol outlined in green on the back. - Olathe South: All yellow/goldish. No lettering or symbols, sweet but simple.
Ugly one i remember: - Atchison: Dont want to dog on anyone, but these finals singlets are just ugly. Red and yellow w/ flames covering the chest. If u were at the SMS tourney u would know what i mean.

Now, BC has a singlet right now, with yellow faded stripes and a eagle on the back that might get a bad review in the fashion market. Sorry Coach Stovall hahahaha! But for such an ugly singlet, I guess your team of all teams can wear them and nobody really can say much to you.

our's (hutchinson's) aren't bad. they're all blue except for a yellow stripe/circle thing on the side.

Yes Ben, our (Olathe East) championship singlets are quite cool. SMS also has real cool ones. And I think we all agree about Atchison's; those singlets were ridiculous. Atchison looked like they had several changes of singlets though throughout the day. At one point I thought MickeyDee's had sponsored a wrestling team with their garish yellow and red. Mill Valley also had cool ones; all silver with a blue MV.

Our team wears our all black ones for the finals. Or at least most of our team does. I choose to wear our normal singlets because I just like them better.

Schieber- Yes sir u guys have sweet ones, actually ALMOST like them as much as ours. I thought the second singlets of Atcheson's were the best(mostly yellow, red stripes w/ a fat "A" on the chest). It looked like their finals singlets were from some bargain bin in a thrift store. I was stunned at the lack of fashion sense, color coordination, symbol misappropation and design theory in those digusting singlets.
LancerM- I was going to say something about ur SME finals singlets being cool, but u so happened to be the only SME wrestler i watched in the finals and did not see the all black ones. Those ones r like O South's, sweet but simple. I think Lawrence Freestate had similar singlets also.

This goes way back to the early 1970's when Burlington Colo and Wray Colo had a huge rivalry. Wrays colors are purple and white and in the state finals they had white singlet that had small purple pinstripes - plus they all wore tights (purple) It looked good! But then again blue crushed velvet was the tux of choice.

I don't know about Scott City's finals singlets, but their regular competition singlets were gawd-awful last year. If they still wear those long leg stocking singlets, may God have mercy on their soul.

Golden Domer- I too have never been a fan of the long leg stocking singlets. They sorta make wrestlers look like ballet dancers or better yet a richard simmons impersonator.

I wanted all white signlets, but our team has two many fatties (marky mark robinson), so we had to go with JET BLACK. Can't go wrong with simple and shiny.

Hey man, just because some of us have opted to have love handles instead of the upper-body of a gorilla is no reason to bag on the fatties. You can take your muscle definition and keep it because I think I look nice.
Plus, I just figured you liked shiny things. I mean, who doesn't?

SMS had some gangster all white singlets w/ one green stripe going down diagonely on the chest. We were all going to wear them at the Prairie View Invitational last yr, but that sissy Kenny Aubrey wouldnt have it. He complained the singlets revealed to much. I say, if u got it, show it off w/ a near transparent singlet from the 80's.

Hey LancerM, you have to make it to the finals to wear them pal....
So this kid is putting on his shoes right, and his mom says, honey you're putting your shoes on the wrong feet, and the little kid says, no mom these are my feet

Hey now Jhris, that wasn't nice. And I have been in the finals of every tournament this year. I just lost in one of them. Bummer. Also, you'd think a fellow fatty like yourself might understand and support me in my anti-white singlet crusade...

Clearwater's is kinda slick. They're all navy blue with a small royal blue triangle under the armpit.
