Who does the rankings? I noticed that some kids that did not even qualify for state are ranked yet some kids that qualified are not ranked in the same weight. Also kids beat ranked kids 2 out of 3 and the one that got beat is ranked but the other kid that beat him is not ranked. Just does not make since.

he does the best he can, calm down. They'll get better as the season progress they'll be more exact. Just be thankful he even got them up and finished.

I still think that a state champ from the year before should still be ranked at the start of the season.

I think we all agree with you, but remember this is one man and with other responsibilities as well as trying to please ALL classes and wrestlers alike. They will change and be improved upon as the weeks progress. I do not know who prepares the rankings, but I want to thank you for your hard work on even getting them posted.

There will always be a.."he beat him and he is ranked higher...and so on." I can think of several that were overlooked but will be added and updated soon.

The rankings now are not nearly as important as the rankings at the conclusion of the season. If not ranked, and think you should be, use it for motivation. If ranked and are pleased with the ranking, use it for motivation to stay there.

Scarecrow, what you said about the person doing them was fine as well. It is a hard job. To my understanding Freshmen are not included until after the first of the year which also makes sense. The rankings are are kind of fun to look at, but like my granddad used to say; "every dog has his day."

Honestly Mr. Furches that was really what I meant to say, just got a little wordy with it. And I may add, not as suave as you are. You and I both know that the rankings should and will change!

i dont know who does the 6A rankings now, but it sure is nice to see that i am in 11th grade and ranked 1st still at 215lbs. after all i am in college now

You are not the only one ranked not wrestling in High school. I know the our team has 1 not wresting and hes ranked another listed as a senior and ranked. I also notice alot in which are two to three weights higher than the weight they are ranked one even 4 weights. As for freshman not being included, Goddard has several freshman ranked and I bet they are not the only ones. I am sure that in a couple of weeks they will get down to the wins losses and who should or should not be ranked.

haha yeah i love this..i'm in 11th grade and ranked 1st in 6a at 152..and 160 ian shea is ranked #3 in 6a both of us graduated last year...amazing if i was a junior this year..if only

They should set a new standard where ranking could be set after christmas and then they'll progress from there, How is it possible for freshman to be ranked in high school their first year, people who don't wrestle are still ranked and ranking are so altimately chosen at the beginning of the season.

i think the preseason rankings don't mean anything..cuz half the time they have you at a diffrent weight than what you wrestle..if they are going to have it that way it should be based on state finish last year and say a fresh placed 5th behind 4 seniors...he should becomne the preseason #1 cuz the seniors left and so on to the palces b4 that...and then you go into the bracket and look at how far kids made it. But personally ranks shouldn't mean nething till after christmas newayz.

I see that they do have 5A corrected and posted now if they could only get 6A completed and correct. I am curious though why is it that coaches never recieved their imput letters for their wrestlers this year. I believe it does help having those sent out and then the coaches would make it easier on whom ever is doing the rankings.

Rankings are all for the fans anyways.
