Most likely Shumate, Almaguer (sp?), Tannebaum (if BVN is still 6A).

Dont forget that Ely and Alamguer are in the same regional. So one will get Shumate in the Semis. I dont know how many times Shumate and Almaguer have wrestled this year. I do know that at the JOCO Classic Shumate won I believe 2-1. It could very well be Ely and Shumate in the Semis which in my opinion is the State Championship

1-Shumate 2-depends whose in the semis; it will either be Ely or the winner of Almaguer-Tanenbaum 3/4-see number 2 5-Freeman 6-Hogan

Ely beat Almaguer last week in the finals of the Sunflower league tournament 7-1. I heard from someone that watched it and said that it wasn't that close. Ely could be the favorite to win it at 125.

Ely looked real solid last week at league...
but Almaguer also looked a little off his game.
This will probably be the most exciting weight class i would guess.

With the older Wagner out of the mix I think Josh would have been better served with staying at 130. 119 and 125 will be brutal with allot of talented wrestlers not bringing home hardware.

I tend to disagree... Ely is an increadible wrestler, but my boy shumate is takin the cake.. givin it will be a very close match. I just tend to think Shumate is the better wrestler of the two.

I pick Shumate because he is better on the mat and equal on his feet. Ely is very good and I'm looking forward to this match.

Shumate and Ely would indeed be a great match (I believe Shumate beat him a few years ago) however, let's not forget how tough this weight class is and that Shumate and Ely would first, maybe have to get through Almaguer-who when on is extremely tough (beating a 2 time state champ at Bobcat and losing only 1-0 to Shumate), Tanenbaum, again who is on has the most dominant cradle in the state and was 3rd at Brute Nationals and Freeman, who, if his elbow is o.k. beat Almaguer earlier this year and is one tough dude. Throw in Hogan (?if ankle is o.k. and is he in shape),Servin ( a crafty senior who quietly has been elevating his wrestling week by week) and Hentzen, who if consistant, can make this weight class the one to watch in 6A
