Leo Leone,

You are right about getting back to the issue at hand here. Guess I took it personal, especially when I see out of state people get on here and belittle Kansas wrestling or wrestlers instead of recognizing them for their accomplishments. And hey, if you are in fact a girl, power to you, and if you are not, power to you. I could care less.

I will agree with you about the movie and the song however.

If you would watch "Reversal" you would know that Leo Leone is from Pennsylvania. Like you I'm not actually using my real name, okay. You still have not answered the actual question at hand either.

The issue at hand is here is the fact that we have somebody from Kearney, Ne via South Dakota claiming that some of the Norton kids did not deserve some of their victories due to poor officiating. Like I had said in a previous post, I was not in Hays on Friday but was in attendance all day Saturday and never heard any mention of this all weekend. Don't know what unkwrestler's intention was here.

I think the two calls unkwrestlerfan mentioned can be seen at almost any tournament. Both of them are judgement calls that have to be made by another human being in a split second. Human's do make mistakes. If you get the call for you it is a good call but if it is against you then you think it is a crappy call. Especially "fleeing the mat", to me, this is one of the hardest calls to make. We lost a match at Basehor-Linwood because of a fleeing call against us(we thought it shouldn't have been called). At the 4A State, in a 119 pound match there was another questionable fleeing/pushing off of the mat. There are also many calls that are not made as well. So I don't think it has anything to do with Western schools getting favorable calls over the East. It's all about how you want to look at it.
Is my spelling okay?

Isn't the question mark supposed to go inside the quotation? Shouldn't that sentence have ended with "Reversal?" I was just curious since we were handing out English lessons.

He may not be able to spell but even he can see the favortism to west teams in the 3a state. It's nice to see a person who is independent make that observation. Frankly, it was better this year than in 2005. Last year there was one particular ref that flat out gave a couple of kids wins. Not sure why we have a 2nd ref I have yet to see the 2nd ref step up and reverse an obvious bad call.

With that said Norton deserves their victories. They are fine wrestlers and will win most of thier matches regardless of officiating.

I was not trying to say that Norton kids don't deserve their titles. They r very good wrestlers and i have much respect for them. I just was wondering what people thought? I am glad someone answered me. Norton did have the best overall team I have seen.

I would agree that the west gets the close calls, but never the less the west has great wrestlers. I think there should be refs from all 4 regionals. Just a thought.

i still say it's a matter of perspective. in the match that unk cited in his orginal post (which is now gone?) he talked about nortons 130 lber and a closed takedown. In that very match the 2nd ref called off a takedown (with the score tied and late)due to an error with the starting of the clock. Now that could be a conspiracy to benefit east vs west or it could be what just happens sometimes. I say its what happens sometimes.
