In the Finals 103- Russell vs. Chapman 112- Chapman vs. Labette 119- Russell vs. Labette 125- Chapman vs. Eudora 130- Russell vs. Labette 135- Russell vs. Russell 140- Russell vs. Chapman 145- Russell vs. Russell 152- Labette vs. Labette 160- Russell vs. Russell 171- Eudora vs. Chapman 189- Chapman vs. Chapman 215- Labette vs. Chapman 275- Chapman vs. Labette
Russell- 10 finalists Chapman- 9 finalists Labette- 7 finalists Eudora- 2 finalists
Another interesting fact: The Russell regional lost two matches (8-2) in the finals and both of those loses came to another guy from the Russell regional. Fisher lost to Dreiling at 135 and Finely lost to Heckel at 145.

I also just noticed that if Russell had 20 Medalists then half of the Medalists from the Russell Regional were finalists.

It looks like all the regionals were pretty balanced except for the Eudora regional. Russell had more state champions and top ten teams but less state medalist.

all 4 qualifiers from the Chapman regional at 140 placed at state
did this happen at any other weights in 4A?

I think 5 of the wrestlers at the chapman regional could have placed at state. That was one tough weight.

The qualifiers out of the 2002 Burlington regional in both 140 and 145 weights all placed at State. Both of my sons have now been a part of this somewhat unusual (and nerve wrecking) occurence.
