If Jordan Gienger, St. Francis, wins the state championship this weekend, he will be a third direct generation state champion. His father, Kelly, was a state champion as were both of his grandfathers, Elton Keller and Warren Gienger. Is this a first for Kansas?

PS. Both of his mother's brothers, Dan & Perry Keller, were state champions.

Now that is a direct meaning to "it is in his blood"...

Actually pretty interesting, could do wrestling family tree's and see how they came out.

that kinda sucks that he is gonna win state and has that one loss on his record. Wasnt it Kyle Hudgins who pretty much manhandled him in the finals at the Hays Prairie Senior Classic??

He definately didn't get "manhandled". I'm pretty certain he lost 8-5. He got the first take down, and had him locked up in a cradle, but he tried going for a suicide and the kid from spring hill ended up scoring five points out of it. His own mistake cost him the match. He shouldn've won in my opinion. The first period wasn't a good time to try and suicide cradle the kid.

Kyle Hudgins is a stud! He's only been beat two times this year!

um yes he did get "manhandled" the score might not show it, but I saw the match. And I saw domination from Hudgins.

Hudgins won; controlled the match and might win 4 out of every 5 times they wrestle. But manhandled?
