To help everyone out and to keep from looking thru the entire site, if you are having a summer wrestling camp, would you please post the information under this topic -

Also, under the Calendar, if you go to the top of the page and click on camps, there is a list of summer camps. I believe most of those have their fliers attached or at least dates and contact information.

Thanks,
Leanna Grater

This camp will have the same format as our other Outdoor Challenge Camps but will be geared towards Youth Development 3rd through 8th grade. Our web site will be updated with this information soon.

These camps are all intensive camps. Our small camp size ensures you get lots of individual attention. They all incorporate excellent technique sessions as well as live wrestling and Outdoor Challenge Activities including; an obstacle course, paintball tournament, orienteering course and a float trip down a "Wild and Scenic River". To see the many other planned activities visit our web site.

Also in the planning stages is a Father/Son camp. We are looking at dates in late July or early August. Same camp format and activities just scaled down a bit for younger wrestlers and time constraints.

We will also have up to 8 “need based” $200/wrestler scholarships available to attend our camps this summer. This information will be posted on the web site soon.

FYI,
Tony Purler of Purler Wrestling Academy will be holding 2 camps this summer here in Kansas. One of them is a mat wrestling camp and will be held @ Burlington on July 28&29. The other is a leg riding camp and will be @ Eudora on August 4&5. For more information go to tonypurler.com. We went to the leg attack camp last year it was good. This guy is a good teacher.

Today is the last day of the Oklahoma Gold camp in Eudora, KS.(Eudora is just west of DeSoto off of K-10 on your way to Lawrence). This has been a fantastic camp. Jack Spates, Teyon Ware and Jeremy Spates have been great technicians and have shared life experiences that the kids will always remember. We have been blessed here in Kansas to have Eric Akin, Zach Roberson, Tony Purler, Gonz Medina and MANY others to bring our kids along in this one-of-a-kind sport. It's also great to get additional perspective from a program the caliber of OU. There are very few 2X NCAA champions like Teyon Ware around, and we are planning on continuing this camp each year. Next year, we hope to add Sam Hazewinkel to the list of guest technicians.

Thanks to the Sooners for their hard work for Kansas kids!
