Here is an update to the bio for Bob Phillips! His dedication to the youth of Kansas has taken many "hats" and has lasted for nearly 30 years.

Coach Phillips was worked quietly behind the scenes for years. Of course many of those years were working with his son, Ryan but his dedication has lasted far beyond.

Started the wrestling program at Burlingame High School (1980-1982)

Was assistant wrestling coach at Holton High School (1983-1990)

Was a volunteer coach for Kansas Southern Plains (1990-2000)

Assistant Director for the Southern Plains Camp (2004-2007)

Was head wrestling coach at Holton High school (1991-1994)

Started and was President of the Jackson County Wrestling Club (1992-2007)

USA Kansas District 1 treasurer (2006-2007)

Was tournament director for the Sub-District 1 North (a qualifying tournament) for 10 years (1996-2007)

Started the Big “7” League (High school league in Northeast Kansas) wrestling coach and assistant coach of the year award and supplied awards (1993-2007)

Created and maintain the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association website (1998-2007)

Moderator for the Kansas High School Wrestling talk forum (2002-2007)

KWCA Media person of the year 1999

Computerized the KWCA State Wrestling Rankings (2000-2007)

Updated, computerized and supplied the awards for the Kansas wrestling state-record holders (2000-2006)

Worked with the KSHSAA to implement the Preferred Wrestling Software program for the regional and State High school wrestling tournaments

Assisted with the KSHSAA in bracketing for the state wrestling tournament (2005-2007)

Volunteer worker for the 4A state wrestling tournament in Salina, Ks (2005-2007)

Served on the Corporate Board of USA Wrestling Kansas as the Clubs’
representative and the Kids Board as an At-Large representative from (2004-2007)
