I criticize those who speak out against the state and I criticize those who manipulate the current system to their own advantage. Just like any set of rules, there will always be those with very little character, class and integrity who will seize any opportunity to cheat their way to the top. Barry Bonds anyone? For you to accuse the state of "oppression, mediocrity, apathy, communism and socialism," makes you part of the problem. You are only concerned with your kid and his individual situation. It's why he'll have a hard time ever being a good teammate or a integral peice of a championship team. He is being taught to concern himself only with his needs, wants and goals. Not a group effort. He'll know nothing of sacrificing his own goals for those of a team and the satisfaction you receive from doing that. I wonder which athlete feels better after the season, the wrestler who had to change weight classes because he has a state champ on his team at that weight and in doing so, only qualified for state instead of placing which allowed his team to win the state championship? Or the state champion wrestler who is standing on the podium with only a handful of family to watch because he was the only wrestler from his team to make it to the tournament?
Communism and Socialism? Aren't those the two tenets that our system of selling used cars is based on?
Used,
Calling out someone behind anonymity is the act of a coward. Also, the last time I checked, car salesmen were capitalists and not interested in common ownership like not-for-profit organizations. Check your communism and socialism definitions.
