Last year’s consolation & championship finals featured some of the best wrestlers in the state including the following 47 state-level wrestlers:

2 STATE CHAMPIONS: Brett Swoyer of Rock Creek at 135 pounds. Aaron Patton of Wellsville at 119 pounds. (This is Wellsville's first year to compete in the tournament.)

1 STATE Runner-Up: Wyatt Bechtel of Eureka at 130 pounds.

12 STATE Placers: Kane Lovvorn of Holton (103), Brandon Ray of Eureka (103), Thain Borbst of Eureka (119), Nate Watts of Bulrington (125), Brandon Hopkins of Anderson County (125), Billy Benz of Eureka (135), Nathan Sommer of Prairie View (135), CJ Randall of Prairie View (171), Matt Vander Linden (189), Josh Stillwell of Eureka (215), Kendall Fiscus of Fredonia (215) and Lucas Camac of Jayhawk Linn (215).

In addition to the 15 State Placers above. There were another 10 state qualifiers in Class 4A and another 22 state qualifiers in Class 3A from the tournament field at the 2007 Invitational.
