Second-Ranked Nebraska Holds Off Missouri, Tigers Fall to 0-1-1 in Big 12 Action Feb. 2, 2008
LINCOLN, Neb. - Competing in its second Big 12 dual of the season, 11th-ranked Missouri (7-3-1, 0-1-1) suffered a 22-13 loss to second-ranked Nebraska (11-2, 2-0), in front of a record-setting 3,252 fans in The Coliseum.
"I couldn't be prouder of the way the guys fought tonight; it was an all-out war," said Head Coach Brian Smith. "Everyone saw the Tyler McCormick of old tonight, the one that was on the podium at Nationals last year."
Missouri will return home and host No. 19 Oklahoma, Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. (CT) in the Hearnes Center. Following Friday's dual, Missouri will take on Oregon State in its final home dual of the year. Missouri's six seniors will be recognized prior to the start of the 2 p.m. (CT) dual.
