YES, THEY WERE BUT THEY HAVE BEEN WRESTLING TOURNEYS AND DUALS AND HAVE BEEN DOING FINE. JUST BECAUSE YOU WRESTLED JV DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL NOT HAVE A OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE IT OUT OF REGIONALS AS A 3 OR 4 SEED. WRESTLED YOUR BUTT OFF AND HAVE A FEW THINGS GO YOUR WAY, YOUR IN. I AM SURE THAT BOTH WOULD TAKE A 3/4 SEED WITH THEM JUST BEING FRESHMEN AND QUALIFYING FOR STATE. CALM DOWN I WAS JUST PUTTING OUT SOME SUGGESTIONS THERE. OBVIOUSLY YOU WRESTLE, DID I OVERLOOK YOUR NAME,IF SO LET ME KNOW AND I WILL LIST IT WITH THE REST OF THEM.

I have two good kids who will be wrestling a JV tourney tommorow due to injury. I myself lost varsity at one time in my life. Both of those wrestlers will be wrestling in the Rossville Regional, they have both been out since Beloit Tourney an need the mat time.
It is great to hear stories of JV kids rising up an making some noise, as long as it is not against one of my kids!

Coach Brown
ps. Curt I hope you got my entries earlier this week, see you on Friday morning.

Yes the times should be close and we are going to the championship semi finals as the manual suggested. We will get the first round of consolation in when we run the Championship quarterfinals. We will be running 4 mats except for the semi's.

not sure how u can fit 4 mats in the rhs gym. whats the layout? hope they're not planning on wrestling in the wrestling room. thats terrible for the fans. rossville has always been a great host and has run their tourney well. but u can't wrestle a regional tourney in a wrestling room where nobody can see it.

UNFORTUNATELY THAT IS GOING TO BE THE SET UP. IF WE HAD THE OTHER GYM, THAT THEY HAVE BEEN GOING TO BUILD THE LAST 2 YEARS WE WOULD NOT BE IN THIS SITUATION. BUT I THINK THEY ARE ONLY GOING TO DO THE FIRST 2 ROUNDS? LOOK AT IT THIS WAY YOUR ONLY MINUTES FROM HOME AND YOU CAN GET SOME EXTRA ZZZZZZ'S SATURDAY MORNING. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS THE SITUATION, I THINK AS LONG AS WE ENTER AND EXIT THE ROOM, THE WAY IT WILL BE POSTED. THINGS WILL FLOW WELL. THANKS FOR THE COMMENT ABOUT HOW WELL WE PUT ON TOURNEYS. THERE WILL BE EXPERIENCED PEOPLE WORKING AT EACH TABLE,HEAD TABLE ETC.... THIS ALWAYS MAKES THINGS RUN SMOOTHER. I KNOW CURT/COURTNEY APPRECIATES IT. I APPRECIATE IT ALSO, AS NO MATTER WHAT I DO OR TRY I WANT THE BEST PRODUCT POSSIBLE. TOO MUCH OF A PERFECTIONIST

i just dont think its best for the sport to run a mat where nobody can see it. i dont even like wrestling in 2 gyms. 3 mats would still get us out fri at a reasonable time even with semis on fri. how many people can fit in a one mat wrestling room? u think grandma and grandpa want to climb up and down the bleachers every time a wellsville kid wrestles in there? i hope they reconsider. other than that i look forward to a fun and well run tourney.

We were going to put the 4th mat out the back door in the parking lot but last time we did that the reff's whistle froze to his lips and he asked us to move him inside this time.

EVEN SO YOU ARE STILL GOING TO SEE 168 OUT OF 224 MATCHES.IF SOME ONE HAS TO WRESTLE IN THE ROOM EVERYONE DOES NOT HAVE TO GO INTO THE ROOM TO WATCH THE MATCH. JUST THE ONES THAT NEED TO BE THERE. IF YOU WERE TO RUN 3 MATS (THE ABOVE IS BASE OF 28 MATCHES PER MAT PER ROUND FOR 2 ROUNDS) THAT WOULD BE 56 MATCHES MINIMUM DISPERSED BETWEEN 3 MATS AT A AVERAGE 6 MIN PER EACH MATCH.EVEN IF YOU HAD PINS THIS IS FACTORING IN INJURY ,CHECK IN ETC.... THIS WOULD EQUAL A EXTRA 1.86 HOURS OF WRESTLING PER MAT. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THAT THERE ARE 3-4 BRACKETS THAT WILL BE A 32 MAN BRACKET FORMAT AS THERE ARE 18,19 20 WRESTLERS AT THIS TIME,OBVIOUSLY THINGS WILL CHANGE BY THE SEEDING MEETIING.
