Nice job to those who organized this great event! Looks like the 2 year streak from the small schools will be put to the test.

Would somebody please post some of the accomplishments of these young men? Ala like was/is done for the Metro. Makes for much more excitement regarding match-ups. Thank you.

hope the small schools prove me wrong but i have 59-25 big guys. just too much talent top to bottom for the bigs. some good matchups but i agree with chase "lopsided".

Thanks Chief! As an added bonus, if someone can idicate matches were state champs (past or current) are going HEAD to HEAD - that would make for greater interest.

In the State Champion match-ups:

Keller
Arnold
Koehn
Disney

A large class sweep.

I didn't catch the team scores (or I should say I didn't want to look). But there were some great wrestlers there. There were 5 kids wrestling today who have signed to wrestle with D1 programs next year.

Wrestler selection surely played a role this year. The best 321A senior (has not given up a takedown in 2 yrs) didn't even wrestle in it and is not wrestling in senior nationals either. Probably like a lot of 321A wrestlers, he is a key multi-sport athlete to his school and has moved on to another sport. Or, he may just be wanting to protect the college football scholarship that he has. Or, others probably just have to get back into carrying their load in the family business.

Bonus points for the big schools and 7 matches that were decided by 2 points or less. I did not go to the match but if those 7 matches swing to the small schools the team score changes dramatically.
