11 yrs 2 boys 7 trips to kids state, 4 trips to high school state in a row and 3 placements in HS state in a row...the last match you think could be the last match to place is more stressful than you could ever imagine. Will it be the end on a winning note or a losing one. Will he place his last yr or not. So many questions. Stomach hurting and ready to throw up. Then he does it and you know he has another match. And then all of a sudden you realize he has two matches left. Regardless he still has two. After the hundreds he has wrestled over the yrs...wow...Two! SO you make the most out of them and the stress is gone cause you know hes placed for the third yr in a row. Its a amazing feeling and what a ride! You reminise over a margarita after its over and wonder.....where did the years go. Please enjoy this weekend all you young parents....because life is short and so is wrestling. Thank god we still have one more to go thru high school. Good luck to all this weekend and also to my kid! You never know, this could be the last kids state we get to attend.
