LOL It's spring break and he's a bottomless pit anyway. On wrestling mornings he eats 3-4 pancakes, sausage AND bacon, a couple of eggs, toast and a bowl of fruit. He munches on a bowl of cereal while he's waiting for his breakfast. By the time we get to the tournament for weigh in he's already hungry again! He's little, 10u 67. He burns it off as fast as he eats it.

Kids went to grandmas today for spring break,(she calls me the food natzi) 8u has to watch what he eats especially at grandmas!!!! So as a comprimise on eating habits I let him take his B.B. gun with him, talk about being nervous all day, 6yrs old took his air soft gun with him, playing war was not an option. Felt better after talking to grandpa though he told me they could'nt hit water if they fell out of a boat.. B.B. gun air soft gun 2 days before districts, mabe I'm the one who needs a padded room!!!!!!!!

Grandmas are the absolute worst. They are always trying to slip them food, always giving them dangerous toys, always swearing at the refs and getting kicked out, always getting in fist fights with the other coach.
Last time my mom went to a wrestling tournament, I stole her glasses and then lied about which kid was ours.

LOL I had to ban one of my daughters from tournaments cuz she was always yelling "bad call" at the refs! I lied about this weeks tourney and told her it was split and her brother wrestled pm! If she's not yelling at the refs, she's flirting with them.

Flirting may work sometimes, although not for my mom probably.

WOW! Isn't ANYone stressed this week? This thread was buried! We made it through the fate tempting sleepovers and rollerskating parties. We made weight at subs and district even though my bottomless pit ate his way through spring break. And you know what? I am SO glad he didn't place at district this year, (yes, I actually said it). I would be a basket case right now. My son broke his toe yesterday! Walking, well okay, sliding through the living room. Caught his foot on the iron intake grate, tore the nail and broke the big toe! GOOD LUCK to all going this weekend!

WOW! Isn't ANYone stressed this week? Stresses? Who's stressed? I'm not stresses. Are you implying that I'm stressed? Because I'm not stressed! Why can't everyone just leave me alone!! On a side note the actual competitor is doing just fine, I think I'm actually starting to build some resentments over how fine he is!

I don't mean to scare you, but if your wrestler has not made weight exactly 1860 minutes from now, he or she will forfeit and their season will be over.
Have a nice day.

The scales might weigh a little differently than yours. It may be more than 1.5.

As I often tell my wrestlers ... control the little voice ... the one inside your head!!
Are you making a POSITIVE difference in the life of kids?

I have a no contact order in effect for my son against his mother until after weigh in tomorrow to ensure this does not happen! I have an extra couch Issac & Zaba can use as a safe house if necessary Luellen.

I love and hate this time of year. Deep down I know it's kids wrestling and not all that important in the big scheme of things, but I still always feel sick. What if that kid, who my kid has always beat, throws him in a headlock and sticks him? Who's gonna be on the other side and in other districts? What if he gets sick? What if he doesn't make weight? What if 16 national champs just moved here from Alaska and are all going to be in his bracket at subs? What if an elephant falls from an airplane and lands on our car on the way to Subs?
Please help me. Well, then no matter what the outcome, just make sure that he thanks the coaches, administrators, and his workout partners for the season he had.

lol just wait till they are seniors and are wrestling what could be there last high school match ever 11 yrs 2 boys 7 trips to kids state, 4 trips to high school state in a row and 3 placements in HS state in a row...the last match you think could be the last match to place is more stressful than you could ever imagine. Will it be the end on a winning note or a losing one. Will he place his last yr or not. So many questions. Stomach hurting and ready to throw up. Then he does it and you know he has another match. And then all of a sudden you realize he has two matches left. Regardless he still has two. After the hundreds he has wrestled over the yrs...wow...Two! SO you make the most out of them and the stress is gone cause you know hes placed for the third yr in a row. Its a amazing feeling and what a ride! You reminise over a margarita after its over and wonder.....where did the years go. Please enjoy this weekend all you young parents....because life is short and so is wrestling. Thank god we still have one more to go thru high school. Good luck to all this weekend and also to my kid! You never know, this could be the last kids state we get to attend.
