That was a pretty solid showing by FHSU at the Open. They still haven't jumped into the top twenty yet. I think they will finish higher than they are expected. They will be pretty loaded next year with the returners that are red-shirting and the existing line-up.
The Labette guys racked up a lot of wins, but didn't bring home a lot of hardware. I think even the second and third stringers all came home with wins though. They have a few guys out with injuries. They had some tough losses in the later rounds. HWT Ben Hohensee took OCU's Finn (returning NCAA Runner-Up) into double OT before losing. Ben should take Juco's this year.
That looked like the toughest and biggest Hays Open I have ever seen. I hope that starts a trend.
