What i dont agree with is that other school organizations go all over the united states to conventions with out much thought. In smaller schools its typical to have good athletes torn between basketball and wrestling,a lot to them depends on whether they can make varstity rite away. They have the ability to be great, so why would you want to get them hurt, embarassed, and or discourage their progress. Its acts of selfishness that hurt our sport I realize that you want to see all of our great wrestlers get recruited. Finally it dont matter where Im from, only that I totally am for the growth of our sport and against the decline of our sport.

321a, taking your wisdom to heart, I am no longer going to send any of our kids' club kids to Tulsa Nationals, USJOC, LIberty, etc. I am only going to take them to tourneys that they can win. According to you, the risk of getting hurt (by those mean out of state studs), getting embarassed (I assume this means losing a match), and getting discouraged (I assume you quit when you don't win) are bad for my kids. Do you offer any type of counseling for any of these unfortunate events, should they happen? And it would also be selfish for any of my kids to go and make themselves better at one of these out of state events, and enable him to score more team points for his team come state tourney time. Is there anything else that I might be doing wrong that I can change for ya? I assume you don't want any of my kids to see any sort of adversity. I must be in the wrong line of work. I guess the jobs these kids will get when they get out of school will be all milk and cookies. I guess all that my parents and grandparents taught me is hog wash. We no longer go to tourneys to get better, we go to get medals or trophies. I'm starting to get it.

I'll give a good example of the 321a complainers, that has gotten to me as well. Someone has complained about Colt Rogers not being ranked #1. Sorry folks, but, not taking anything away from Colt, but he is not in Cox or Cokeley's league. I would venture to guess there are several other listed below that he is not capable of beating also. Beau Hentzen comes to mind. But I don't hear Beau's dad, mom, coach, etc complaining on here. Bottom line, these rankings don't mean anything, and sooner or later, the center of the mat will show who belongs where. If everyone wants to see who the Top Dog is, let's do the Grand State again.
