Chief hey I have been looking at the 145pds. I think that there is a kid you are over looking Josh Rodriguez, he lost only once this year and that was to C. Bontz by 1 point in which Josh led until the very end, and he beat M. Numrich 7 to 1 in Goodland.

Didn't Colby beat Valley Center in the Colby Invitional Dual Tournament. "Dual" tournament. The rankings are representative of tournament performances, not duals.

How did the team all class rankings change so much? Didn't Derby beat Goddard and Heights in a dual? how did all of them move ahead? Im a little confused on that whole decision. Bishop Caroll moving to number 3?

160 Lemon Chapman finished 3rd in Minneapolis behind two very good wrestlers Chase King 1st and Omli 2nd. Omli defeated Lemon 5-2 dated info but surprised by the ranking

2008-09 All-Class Ranking:
NEW TEAM RANKINGS!!!! I have applied a new scoring system for the Team rankings. It is very close to the application for the 6A ranking. The dynamics of an All-Class tournament changes the order dramatically versus the individual class rankings. As an example, the 2nd ranked wrestler at 145 in 6A is the 9th ranked wrestler in All-Class.
This should create some conversation...
TEAMS - All-Class 1. Goddard - 6A 2. Wichita Heights - 6A 3. Derby - 6A 4. Valley Center - 5A 5. Wichita NW - 6A 6. Emporia - 5A 7. Andover Central - 5A 8. Bishop Carroll - 5A 9. Gardner Edgerton - 5A 10. Clay Center - 4A

not trying to start anything but from what i understand is that when Hattabaugh of Andale wrestled 3A last year he beat cole zogleman 4-0 (Hesston tourney) before zogleman inj defaulted and did not finish the season and Hattabaugh went on to get 6th and a 22-4 record

your not serious about the new ranking system are you? i don't quit see how it works If you take this years weight classes, multiply it by 2, then add in the equaiton from last years results at state, (prior to regional contests) then multiply it by 12 you get the base number. You then take that base number multiply it by 13, (the number of letters in Richard Salyer's name) divide it by the number of people in each of the ranked wrestlers school, you come up with base number 2. You then add base number 1 to base number 2, add the numbers together of the grade of the student, example 9th grade would be 9, 11th grade would be 2, add those numbers to the base number, divide by 4 (the numbers of years in high school for most kids) you get the overall total ranking. I think it is pretty simple and the forumla used by Chief seems to work from year to year. Just kidding of course as the only ranking that really matters is the one at the end of the year after the state tournaments, everything else up to that point is for some fun, some motivation, and fun to talk about.
