Congrats to UNO but a rather nice accomplishment for the fairly new program Newberry, with less than 1,000 students a heck of an accomplishment.

I am assuming these are OW's!
Cornejo will probably be OW at NAIA Nationals as long as he stays healthy. You can't dominate much more than that. I think he ended up with four first period falls and a TF!
Meneely had a notable tourney, no doubt...but I thought there were more impressive performances by some other guys (he did have a 4-3 match with an unranked wrestler). 165 pounder Morgan from UCO (unranked)went 4-0 with three wins over ranked wrestlers, including the #1 ranked wrestler. Elliott had a pretty impressive show himself. Then again...maybe I'm biased!

Not to mention...How does Metcalf not get OW in D1's? Ahh, the politics of OW!

Ike,Humphrey seems the logical choice with your Bias,he did beat a x-Card in the first round. Not an easy feat as we both know.

You’re absolutely right...Metcalf didn't beat ANY x-Cards and that is a prerequisite for OW at any tournament involving an x-Card. I was mesmerized by the "Metcalf Madness" and let it affect my judgement. That's a lapse of focus on my part and I apologize for it.
