Who should we be looking for at this years state tournament in the 46-49# weight classes?

Just off the top of my head, spangler, wallace, allen, miller, dickey, hughbanks, wells, thats just off the top of my head

spangler and miller at 46. Koelzer, wallace and allen at 49.

I think that Leea Bentley will be in that bracket somewhere in 46 or 49 she is wrestling both weights so not sure which one she will be in come subs districts and state however I am partial lol she is my daughter but maybe someoneelse feels the way I do thats not partial lol

I think if you are talking 6 and under 46, you have to say miller, dickey, jilka or schroeder. At 8 and Under all you have to say is Spangler. At 49 who knows but tyler allen is tough and wallace is good too.

well at State unless its 6 under state it doesnt matter either way they all come in at 8 under so its a mix Spangler is very good and tyler allen suprised us all last year..Schroder is making a name for himself this year I know he gave my daughter a great match in Manhattan she still took the win 7-5 but it was close..

The match between Schroeder and Bentley should have been 7-7 and went into overtime; several coaches watching the match said that Schroeder did not get all the points he deserved. "There are many kids in this weight bracket that are doing well this year and they ALL deserve the same recognition and respect at the matches. Parents should not be knocking other wrestlers and saying how their child is so much better, things can always turn around!!"- this is in reference to the Meet in Manhattan this past weekend.
Rhett Edmonson is also a good little wrestler to watch out for.

I dont think there was any knock on any wrestler. The subject is predictions, so names are gonna be thrown out there. This wt depends on if they are talking 6&u or 8&u. There is big dif on the ones to watch in depending on age group.

a few other names would be pappan, stroda, seabolt and as we all know there is always a chance that kmac's son kale could be at 46 by the time state rolls around. probaly won't happen but theres always a chance.

and yes it does matter because if they are talking about 6 and under no need to mention 7 and 8 year old names.

and i guess i did not see where any one was knocking a wrestler must have missed that post.

Who is Seabolt and where is he from?

Parents should not be knocking other wrestlers and saying how their child is so much better, things can always turn around!!" is directed towards comments that were made at the Manhattan tournament that involved some of the wrestlers mentioned here by a particular parent in these weight brackets and it was upsetting to see a parent behave this way. My son was knocked to our own club coaches and I had to explain to him why a mother would say things about him to his coaches. Sorry for not explaining this better in my post...just frustrated.

seabolt if from cimmaron might be spelling his last name wrong, i would go look at jeffreys bracket to double check, but i can't due to the fact seabolt took that bracket home lol.

I only said what happend in Manhattan I do not keep score and only went off what the final score was at the end..I was not putting anyone down by that statment..Schroder and Bentley have went back and forth both winning with very close matches they are very well matched and bring out the best of both of them..However I do admit that there is a tension between the parents of these two that does put a stressful situation on the children..Edmosnson is a very good wrestler he was the 6th place State Champion last year..In Manhattan was the very first time Leea had ever won a match towards him and she has wrestled him several times..It never seems to amaze me about girls wrestling everybody has their off days and they bracket all kids based on their skill level that is the reason of ranking..Its so funny with my post on girls wrestling being fair and the fact that I threw my daughters name out here for a place on the state bracket and instead of anyone saying she did do well at that tournament or wrestled good or is making her way it was not that at all so funny how they start saying how it wasnt fair she won..She works very hard and loves this sport as much as the next so why cant she get the respect the boys do? Wrestlingnewbie made the statement of how all kids should get same respect so why can you say how that match was unfair and say edmunson is a good one to watch out for too but then not give her the respect you gave them? Its not her fault the refs made the mistake but either way she wrestled well and is a good wrestler..and if Schroder is one to watch for and the match was to go into overtime then that obviously means she is too...Yes she is my daughter and I am partial but I also feel that if you are goin to preach for respect then GIVE IT!!

As we know, weights can change but I would list these based on where I would GUESS that they would go at State.

49 - Michael Spangler - Boo's
Cagen Wallace - GCGG

46 - Logan Pirl - Derby

There are also 3 tough 6U's to watch out for at these weights:
Tyler Allen - 49 - Derby
Cade Miller - 46 - Team Lightning
Kael Pappan - 46 or 43 (not sure) - Ark City

I know that there are other tough kids out there, but these kids will make some noise.

By the way, Spangler has won 8U 40 and 8U 43 the last two years so he would have to be a favorite to be in the money.

NIX - I wish the little runt would grow a little, but he just weighed in at 41.2 at Tulsa this weekend. If he doesn't start putting on some weight soon, I may have to contact Roger Clemens....lol. I would guess that 46 is out of the question, but who knows?

i think its time to move my son down from 64 to 49. now you can throw my son into the mix at 8 and under. ok im just kidding. just wanted to watch all your faces go oh my god that just isnt right. i also wanted to watch nix go what the hell lol. good luck to all you no matter if you are male or female.
