I would not allow Houlden to wrestle the finals due to an injury sustained before the semis. Against my better judgment I allowed him to wrestle the semis which didn't help the situation. He should be fine with rest and I wasn't going to risk Regionals. He begged me to let him wrestle but I was considering the big picture. Better safe than sorry. I know Coach Ross and Feldkamp had the same discussion before he defaulted to Elliott due to an injury. With regionals around the corner it was the right decision.
