Please Big Mac. Real case scenario. Locked hands. There is no way you have never missed a locked hands call. You are pretty sure it happened, the coach says it happened, but you did not see it. With your rationale, you talk to the coach and change the call? This is not a judgement call, either you saw it or you didnt. I would venture to say that ALL officials have "blown" this call at least once in a career. If they have not, wait until the next tournament and you might. My point being, refs are human, they make mistakes. That is the great thing about wrestling sometimes is the human error. I do not ref alot, only when people I know are in a bind. I choose to coach and I know that I do not teach alot of the knuckle head things my athletes do, but they happen due to "human error". I will tell you that I would rather coach than ref any day of the week. These guys that ref have alot of improvement to do, even if they are the 4A State Ref of the year or no matter how many big tournaments they have refed. That is what makes us excell at our profession, always striving to get better. If that is not your goal, and you are as good as you are ever going to get, its probably best you spend your time in the stands watching your son.
