I hope Winfield will NEVER be considered again for district!!!! First who's the idiot that numbered the matches. Most brackets had the finals 25 matches before the consulation finals! I have NEVER, EVER seen that done in my entire life!! In the afternoon they had 14's and 16's wrestling on 4 mats total. We left at 7:30!! Unfortunately that was probably 2 hours before the last match. When was the last match??Winfield should be banned form holding this again until they add another gym and FIRE whoever numbered the brackets

Dang, I though Beloit was bad leaving at around 6:30 (that wasn't after the last match though, I'm sure they still went on for another 30 minutes or so.

Winfields club is a little different. They think they know everything and continue to screw up year after year.

I say return to Augusta next year. They did a great job last year, particularly with using the two gyms.

First of all, Im one of the idiots that numbered the brackets, second, you hold districts next year. We numbered that way to give the kids more rest time on the back side, and it still wasn't enough time, we had kids that only had about 10 minutes between matches. As for only running 4 mats, we went with the required mat space and we knew we didn't have enough mats. It was to late though. So I guess we could of just cancelled. If your gonna call people names then have the guts to leave yours.

If we would of numbered differently you still would of sat there because the finals and 3rd & 4th would of only been 1 match apart.

I appreciated the fact that we had big mat space at Winfield. I liked how Winfield had the 14/16 in the afternoon. I would gladly stay a little late to get away from the little kids (actually the little kids parents)

Winfield doesn't have the space to hold district! Hopefully Goddard or a big school will hold it next year!!

As previously stated, Augusta ran District I last year and bid for it again this year. The first vote was a tie with Winfield, and, on the second vote, Winfield won by just one vote. It would be interesting to see how that vote would have come out if taken this morning.

Hey, give some credit where credit is due. Winfield started "on time" (and we'll ahead of time by the famous Derby clock), and given the facility limitations it ran very smooth. D2 is a tough District and with the level of competion there were not many pins, plus numerous overtime matches....so chill! It's wrestling folks, you're going to be there awhile! You can always switch to basketball and your in-and-out in a couple of hours plus no weigh-in (what a bonus!). I hope none of you ever experience a two-day tournament somewhere....you'll burn the host city down.
