As in the past, the hair rule is that it must be contained in some type of skull cap if it does not meet the criteria by the high school rule book. No wrestler will be permitted to wrestle with ANY type of communicable skin disease. Each club should have a physical status of skin form, which must be filled out by a physician and dated within the last six days along with a note from a doctors note pad signed.

Club Directors: Your help with the above would be greatly appreciated. We dont want anyone getting hurt unnecessarily. Thanks!! For tournament information and for site information call Mark Stanley 785-286-0999 or email jrvikingwrestling@yahoo.com.
Our District shares in the proceeds from this tournament. Therefore, we need your help with table workers. Please contact Barb Shields to get your club added to the list to work a table. We ask that you have 3 people per table and someone to give them breaks throughout the day. Please contact Barb if you are interested with what age and weight you would like to work by February 29th. I will fill the request on a first come first serve basis if I have duplicate requests. Four box lunches will be served at each table between 11:30 and 12:30pm and all volunteers will be granted free admission to the event. Thank-you

i am wondering why district 1 is the only district that charged 20 entry fee when every other district the cost was 15? Because this districts tournament is being held at a very nice facility (Lee Arena) with plenty of room and being hosted by 3 different clubs. Compare that to the other district tournaments which are held at high schools. Its $5 is not the end of the world.

i am wondering why district 1 is the only district that charged 20 entry fee when every other district the cost was 15? What is $5 at this stage in the game? I am looking forward to watching my son wrestle in Lee Arena. I took him there 4-5 years ago and thought it would be a really neat experience. Unfortunately, the flu got the best of him and we packed it in after one match. After paying $89.95 to stay at the Bates Motel in Pittsburg (right across the street from the grave yard), I have no problem shelling out an extra five beans for this venue.

The entry fee to District 1 North Sub-Districts was also $20 and held at a high school, while every other Sub-District was $15 even District 1 South was $15

No forcing anyone here. Plus, the tournament was well run... no parents at mat side, plenty of room in the stands, score clocks that you could actually see (Do the other districts use the electronic score clocks?)Everybody behaved themselves. 20 bucks well spent.

If some other club in District 1 thinks they can do it better and cheaper then next year at the Wellsville meeting step up and volunteer to take it. I didn't hear a single club say they were interested in holding the D1 North subs when is was asked at the meeting this year. We can only hope that JCWC will accept it again for next year.
We should concider ourselves lucky to have JCWC and Mark Stanley taking these things and making them all GREAT events. Also like to thank the Silver Lake wrestling club for all their help with the subs, districts and our Jr Vikings tourny.
