No. This is a much smaller guy.

We will be taking a fourth team. I apologize for the time it is taking me to post line ups. I will start posting them today. Just yesterday I received interest from nearly 20 more kids. We need one more 189lb wrestler. Please submit your information ASAP.

Will there be any practices? Also what will the singlet look like for the fourth team and when will we know teams?

I just got off of the phone with the director of Middle School Duals and he cannot let a fourth team in. He has turned away six teams including one from Iowa this year. In the past they have ALWAYS wanted more teams. The popularity of this event is obvious right here in Kansas as we have over 130 kids applying for 75 spots. I am going to work HARD today to narrow this list down to 75. The worst thing about this job is telling a wrestler who wants to go that we cannot fit him in. I apologize in advance as I know there will be some feelings hurt.

Watch this board this weekend or Monday, and we 'll be putting together some wichita area practices for next week......

Practice (for middle school duals and elementary school duals teams) will be at Andover Central on Monday and Thursday, and at Andale on Tuesday. All practices will be from 6:30-8:00 pm.

Anyone on those teams, willing to drive to the Wichita area for practice, is welcome.

I believe Will Cokeley will be posting the rest of the weights sometime today or tomorrow, so keep checking back to see if you are on the teams.

Next week we will try to work out a practice schedule at Derby.

Please, participants, do NOT let yourself get out of shape or out of sync. We are going to this event to WIN and make ourselves better. If we have team members that don't make a commitment to practice and work hard, we are swimming upstream. Let's do Team Kansas proud. I realize that it is quite a drive for some of you, but please do all you can to ensure that you are ready to rumble. It is also nice to get the kids together to get to know each other a little before they go to war together as a team.
