Random thoughts!

In the morning, Jason Seibel has drawn the tough Joey Cozart.

Taylor Moeder's luck did not last.

Several of our first time competitors went 0-2 but the experience having wrestled here is tremendous!

I'm little surprised where some of our wrestlers went out. But this is the greatest high school tournament in the Nation with the best competition!

Krista Revelle opens up her bid with a 6-0 and 5-1 win!

Looks like we have SIX Cadet Greco All-Americans! Hope I didn't miss anybody...

98 - Tommy Williams - 7th/8th
119 - Brandon Charbonneau - 7th/8th
145 - Chase Sanchez - 7th/8th

215 - Eric Mason - 5th/6th

Huge effort from these Cadets!!!

Eric Mason had a shaky first period in his placement bout. He lost the first frame, 0-6. In the second, he started to shore up his strategy and won 0-1 on a push out. In the third, after 1.30 they were scoreless but Eric would have to defend the par terre. He was doing a great job but with about 8 seconds to go, gave up a two-point gut.

Samantha Lynch was sidelined in her bout with an elbow injury. She had lost the first frame, 3-6 and was tied, 1-1 in the second when the injury occurred.

Krista Revelle must have planned something else to do as in her next bout, she was only on the mat for 10 seconds! On the opening whistle, Krista stalked her foe to the edge of the mat. Krista powered her over and stuck her. Very impressive!

Zach Reeb lost a close battle.

One of the highlights of the day was Elijah Sullivan (Iowa) beating Dylan Ness (Minnesota) in a 3-period battle!

Jason Seibel is up against Joseph Cozart. 3-points for Cozart ... 1-point Cozart as he enter the 30 second segement. A quick lift and it's over ... fall in 1.34.

Kyle Detmer tries to lift but settled for 1 but the California foe quickly reverses for 2. Kyle is defending the par terre and locks up a head lock for 3. Kyle wins the period 4-2. In the second, Kyle hits the sag headlock and gains the fall in 3.03!

Krista stays tough, 6-0 and 1-0!

Jason Seibel is going to fall just short of making the All-American rounds.

Krista ran into a gal who could match her physicality. Krista loses, 1-2 and 0-2.

Kyle Caylor is back on track with a domination of a lad from Washington. Kyle won the first frame 6-0 and gained the pin at 2.57!

Krista battled but lost, 0-1 and 0-1. Her opponent from Hawaii had great defense and Krista could not get her normal attacks.

In the second they battle for control ... with one minute left Revelle scores on a pushout ... then again spins Strub into the mat ... it's over ... Revelle wins 2-0!

Krista Revelle is an All-American for Kansas, finishing 5th in the Women's Junior Nationals!!
