Dustin Vielhauser lost his next match but I was impressed with how he battled back. The score 0-6 and 5-7.

D'Juan Thomas started off using a kick over for 2 but immediately got reversed and eventually pinned.

Colton Eck one a close first period 6-5. We won the second with some good old folkstyle technique ... 6-0!

Chase Sanchez finally got this match where he wanted it and that was top in par terre! He lost the 1st period, 0-2. He won the second with a push out. In the third he scored on a go behind and a series of bow-and-arrows ... 7-0!

Sam Son won his next bout in a workman-like 1-0 and 3-0!

Bo Pursel is coming up on Mat 1!

Hood lost in three periods, 1-0, 0-3, 1-5. He won the first in overtime.

Williams battled hard in the first but lost 2-3. He lost the second, 0-7.

Many of the meetings that I've attended up here have concerned the proposal to split the Junior Nationals and Cadet Nationals, perhaps combining the Cadets with the Kids Nationals. After sitting through several discussions, and based on a survey that the coaches' council is taking (not complete yet, but I've seen some preliminary results), it appears most likely that any change would not include splitting the Juniors & Cadets. Thought some of you would like to know this. The final decision won't be made until after the state leaders' summit in August, but it certainly seems that way right now.

Brandon Charbonneau looked to be in trouble at the start of the afternoon session. He lost the first period 0-2. He was behind in the second 0-2 when he started his comeback. He scored 3 consecutive points to win the second and then used a takedown and three straight trapped arm guts to win the period and the match!

Mike is off doing other duties but there aren't any bids right now.

As I understand the tourney is in Fargo for at least 2010. USAW is in the process of sending out some request for proposal. It will be a tough decision; balancing several logistical issues and of course the cost!

D'Juan Thomas tourney would come to an end with his loss by fall to a foe from Ohio.

Forrest Carrol on the other hand would look impressive with his takedown technique winning 4-2 and 4-0!

Chase Sanchez would draw an opponent from California. That match up would a tough one. His foe got the takedown in the first and used a series of leg laces to close out the period.

In the second, Chase would gain 2 on a takedown and 2 more on the bow-and-arrow. Chase would win on criteria as his foe had four 1-pointers.

The final frame the Cali guy scored one and made that hold up through the rest of the period.

Sanchez loses.

Reports are that Sam Son won to go 3-0 on the day!

After reading all the pros and cons on the national board, I'm of the opinion it is time to move out of Fargo. I would like to see it in Indy or maybe St. Louis if possible.

The huge issue that the National board posters are not taking into account is the convience of many many rooms within walking distance.

There are several places that have the combination of affordable travel and a suitable venue. The two you mentioned SF02 plus Orlando, Atlanta and a few others.

Kyle Johnson is up on the stage of Mat 1. He is trailing early, 0-4 and the period ends with the same score.

In the second, Kule gave up a 2+1 takedown and later gave a 1-pointer followed by a 3-pointer.
