Kale Newell of Mankato (I think he coops with Smith Center) wrestled 135 at the Norton Tournament.

Codie Bontz of Andover Central beat B.T. O'Hara of Columbus at the Augusta Tournament, 2 to 1 in O.T.

Landon Keiswetter of Norton beat Morgan Numrich of Scott City at the Norton Tournament.

Brett Lamar of Silver Lake wrestled 125 at the Derby Tournament and finished 2nd to Daniel DeShazer. He beat Garrett Jones of Ark City, 6 to 2.

Robbie Hines of Ulysses beat Adrian Salas of Liberal at the Liberal Tournament.

Thanks for the posts! I will be busy tomorrow. 4A and 6A rankings first and then All-Class. Hope to have them all done by Tuesday if the results are turned in on time.

Who beat Regis in the semis? That makes it tough with an 18-23 guy last year beating Javier and placing ahead of Weiss.

That was a 4 man round robin. Sullivan beat Vieyra in OT and Weiss (8-5) while Vieyra beat Weiss in the final round 10-1.

Anyone who attended the Augusta tourney knows that the officiating was something else. Those who always say, " dont leave it so close the ref has to decide". That all went out the window Saturday night. I refuse to mention names, but those in attendance know. Every match that was close, there was an argument with coach and official. I would say the results at Augusta should not be considered in the rankings. Just my opinion.

Chief, how is Watters AC not ranked at 119? I would think that he would at least be 9 or 10.
Also once again, Calderon GC, Garcia DC and Perez ULY all beat Mulligan last year. Why is he ranked above them? What has happened this year that warrants this? I know that Garcia may go 112 both the other two are at 103. I cannot see Sullivan ahead of Calderon either. What produced this outcome?

1. Caleb Seaton got beat by #10,Denzell Davis. Seaton is ahead of Watters. Watters has not been ranked many weeks now.

2. Mulligan is undefeated this year. He has beaten Sullivan, who beat Weiss and Vierya. He beat Reed. He trounced Calderon. He beat Hodges. Perez had a close match with Calderon.

After watching the video replays of Cokeley v. Blair, I would say that there were some suspicious calls made at Derby, too.

I have to say that officials are apart of the match. You can't use the official as an excuse. Both parties got that same 'bad' official. I tell my wrestlers that every time they set foot on the mat, that they are wrestling two people at the same time. No excuses, my wrestler lost or I made a decision to help them lose. Take the loss and learn from it. And now back to All-Class
