Haralson beat Reed at Newton on the front side.

I have matside video that says different!

Chief,
Codie won the 5-1 decision on the front side which appears to carry weight with you as well.

Lindon,

I only mentioned the frontside in Haralson's win over Reed to direct the poster where to look in that bracket. Not to place emphasis on the frontside.

Hey Chief,

How did Delp jump Bush in the rankings? Bush is 2-0 against Delp this year, beating him at Newton and last weekend at Silver Lake in the finals. Just curious if there is some other criteria, trying to pick your brain.

Thanks again for all your hard work in ranking these young men.

I probably could have tied up Marlatt, Delp and Bush. I could not have ranked Bush ahead of Marlatt and Delp beat Marlatt. Eric Mason, who I know has lost to Bush is also in that mix.

you should probably watch the video again if you think it was 2 points. Look at the positioning there is no way it could be 2 points unless the ref was blind and had to just listen to Andover Central team on what calls to make. I suggest watching the video over again and getting out a rule book and looking at the criteria for a takedown.

When I was in HS my uncle told my single mom to be a "quiet professional" when it came to my sports. I don't always see that attitude in the 6 and 8 under forums, but usually never see it in the HS forums. Rankings are nice to have, but they aren't enough to get bent out of shape about.

If it wasnt for the rankings and the debates it would get rather boring. We love your professional rankings Chief.I dont think anyone is really mad. Just friendly debating. By the way paratrooper, have you ever tried base jumping? I saw a guy do it last summer. Looked like the ultimate rush.

So far.... The 2010 All-Class Team is shaping up to be a solid roster, don't ya think? These wrestlers are in the drivers seat to appear on the All-Class Team t-shirt! (Only 14 will be made. Underclassmen must pay for the shirt due to KSHSAA rules.) smile

The debates that are generated from the rankings are definately good fodder. I always find interesting how people can view the same thing so differently. For example, in 5a ranks Curtis is #2 over #3 Gaskill but in All-Class, Gaskill is #4 and Curtis #10 (Curtis won H2H 10-5). I am not saying one or the other is right or wrong...just interesting.

Has schumacher from TMP been beat yet? The kid didn't even wrestle into the 3rd period last year. Maybe Miller is better but I would have to see it.

Yes, Miller beat Schumacher at the Hays Tournament. But not without 3 separate calls that took the match away from Schumacher. Even with that, he was able to keep the match 4-3. Anyone that was there that knows anything about wrestling knows that Schumacher was the better wrestler in that match. It's just unfortunate for him that the wrong people wanted to have an influence on him losing his first match.

Its nice to see the support for Dylan, however I think its time to move on. Dylan is preparing for regionals and state and has put the match behind him. He has learned from it and it has no bearing on his ultimate goal of winning state. There are several good wrestlers in the 112 weight as with the other brackets. I would not want to try and rank them with everything that has happened this year.

I was just wondering why Cokeley is still ranked number 1 at 145 when he has 3 losses and Dozier only has 1 loss and Cokeley missed out on the Garden City tournament where they could have met up.

Seriously? Cokely has not loss to anyone ranked below him. His loss to a Kansas kid is the #1 ranked kid at the weight above him. I am just assuming that his other losses are to out of state competition. Are you really wanting to hold the Garden City tourney against him, when it was the schools decision not to go. Come on Quagmire, even on FOX you make more sense than this.
