I got Schmidtberger pulling the upset in semi's and taking a win in the finals at 130 in 4A. Wouldn't say that is a dark horse but he has a tough road and I'm sure most have their $$ on Moeder. As much as I love watching Schmidtberger, who is a stud, I don't think Moeder can be beat, that would be a huge win. Aw hell, I will be in Hays and never see it anyways.

Always a terrifying proposition when you put a former wrestling coach in charge of a school. I plan to attend the event, I may bring a few friends with me.

No offense was ever intended to Dalton Miller. His record, his scholarship, speaks for itself. This was meant as a fun thread to predict the unlikely, or at least the less likely if you will. I picked Haralson in an upset. Is it possible? I believe it is. Would I bet any money on it...absolutely not! I'll put money on it! I think Hunter can do it!

Josh Hicks has a real shot at 6A 215! He was ranked number 5 and beat #2 and #4 convincingly. The last time Caylor and Hicks met I think it was 6 to 5 Caylor!
Either way this has already been an awesome year for Josh and anything from here on out is icing on the cake!

how many of you all bet the farm on these picks? where do you stand now? quagmire was back and forth there for a while in 5a.
nobody put bennett to knock off serna, looks like one of the biggest SEMIFINAL upsets to me.

I will agree on Bennett over Serna but I will go w/ biggest "against all odds" wrestler thus far to be Blackwell out of Bonner. He starts out w/ a tech over Miles from Newton, dec over Corado, and then another dec over Carstarphen from HighPark!! He now faces a very tough Charbonneau in finals. Win or lose it is pretty awesome since he is only a freshman. What a great story.

Blackwell is pretty good, but the Tech fall against Miles would not have happened if miles didnt have an injury to his hip last week. Miles ended up inj default,

I didn't know that about Miles and thought the tech was a lil surprising. Had only seen Miles once before so I didn't really have a good comparison to go by. Regardless, nice run for the kid. He beat Corado in the last 10 seconds w/ a Petersen for a 4 or 5 point move. It was pretty exciting...and stunning.
