well guys i know its early but whats the info on the upcoming season? do we have transfers? lets hear your opinion on who you think is gonna contend for a team title at any classification as well as the individual level.

Norton plans to field a team this year. "field"...maybe we would change that phrase to Norton plans to mat a team this year.

Nope, "field" is correct.
Accepted usage according to "Websters, Second College Edition:" 11.f "all the entrants in a contest."
