Salaries are only a small part of the equation. The capital depreciation, maintenance and utilities for 228 school systems make it impossible to compete with the few number. Salary disparity is not that great. If so, then it would speak volumes that the quality of education would be WAY inferior. The best teachers, in general, would gravitate to the schools that paid the most.
