Richard, go further down the link and read the other chart that adds the numbers up 'for you' and you will see on average its about the same. Reason being Will, school employees are probably paid alot less out west. Now, depending on weight, I like Hoehn from Wellsville at maybe one of those weights. Salaries are only a small part of the equation. The capital depreciation, maintenance and utilities for 228 school systems make it impossible to compete with the few number. Salary disparity is not that great. If so, then it would speak volumes that the quality of education would be WAY inferior. The best teachers, in general, would gravitate to the schools that paid the most.

Hoehn will get a chance to prove himself at Eudora. Zach is a great kid and great wrestler/competitor. It is too bad that Wellsville won't jump into the Bobcat so he can really test his mettle!

Austin is right there with both. I didn't think of every guy, just through some names up off the cuff. 119-135 are going to be tough to call. Lots of top notch kids and competition. It is going to be fun to watch. I like all of them, just throwing out some food for thought. I have been confined to my house, basically for the last 10 days so I have lots of screen time.

I'd take Colton Picking, L.Keiswetter, Bradly Little over Middleton for 152. Great list but these 3 are some solid Sr's who I don't know if Middleton is above yet.

I don't think Picking should cut to 152, he would be perfect at 171. I think he could battle Mumaw for the title. It is a long season to pull so much weight. We will have to see Keiswetter does at Newton. Bradley is super tough but I give the nod to Middleton based on size. I figured Little would be at 145.? Conner only lost to Ryne and Dozier last year. He battles and doesn't give up stupid points. Stays in good position and has great mat sense.

Agreed with Cokeley, Middleton is for real, assuming Sanchez isn't 152,I'd say he's the best in that weight.

Just to keep the conversation going I would suggest.
103 Gentzler 112 ? 119 Hood/Schumacher from TMP 125 Beasley/Hoehn 130-285 Not sure I have enough opinion or basis to suggest anyone other than who Cokeley has.

Cokeley is big enough to wrestle 160? Thats a pretty big jump from fargo! That would be a pretty tough battle at the 4a state tournament if picking, son, and cokeley were all in the same bracket! Maybe Hattabaugh too?

The All-Class rankings are shaping up. Thanks to all those that responded with weight projections. I received over 50 messages from head coaches and many others from wrestlers or fans. I will post them this friday. Please PM me with additional info!
Thanks!

How does Leo Beck/Eric Mason even get in the same conversation as Gage Knudson, Gage has beaten Leo Beck on numerous occasions and hasn't lost one of those. So i feel like your putting all the KC kids together besides Matt Reed.

I haven't seen Gage wrestle much. Sorry.

What about Reece Wright-Conklin at 171? He's got a win over Matt Reed at Kids State. Granted he hasn't done the summer wrestling Reed has done but had to get over a knee issue. I was told he's benching around 285 shooting for 300 soon. He's got some crazy genetics and is a good kid! He wants another state championship!

Who is this Gage Knudson? Just kidding. I don't know how anybody would be above Gage this season for ranking purposes. If you haven't seen him wrestle, you can probably catch him at the Basehor-Linwood tournament this year. Good luck this season Gage!

The best thing about the rankings, I get to figure out who to watch for. They don't really determine who the State Champion will be, they just give us (fans, ex-wrestlers, Kid's coaches, family, whoever) something to follow. Weight problems, injuries, illnesses, a bad day, or just a bad match can make all the difference. I am thrilled to be following this forum, and will stay engaged throughout the season. Chief, keep up the good work. I can't wait until the wrestling begins!
