Iowa Central finished second last year when you include the DIII schools (which this poll does). Harper ran away with the title.
The Cardinals haven't finished out of the top 6 in the last 6 or 7 years, and they return a national champ and a runner-up. They will be fightin' for the title, no doubt.
These rankings are always bunk...take them with a grain of salt.

Where the heck is Andre Harrison for the Tigers? He finished third last year and was 1 or 2 going in to Nationals. I'm always left scratching my head at these pre-season rankings.

Where the heck is Andre Harrison for the Tigers? He finished third last year and was 1 or 2 going in to Nationals. I'm always left scratching my head at these pre-season rankings. Does he have a full 2 semesters of Eligibililty left of is he academically ineligible or injured? Those would be the only reasons he wouldn't be ranked. I'm with you Ike! Also how is Newman with 2 guys ranked, NOT RANKED?! Also Limestone has 1 kid ranked at #2, but Seton Hill for example has a kid at 2 and 7, yet don't even get votes considering them?! I am confused. DII rankings look really off. I think a lot of teams got the shaft. I am going to check it out, but I thought teams like Gannon and Central Missouri were going to be at least good enough for Top 15! Wow.
