Lansing team preview on KWCA has Nathan Wessel and Yyler Terron listed. Both state placers from 2 years ago. Any info on those guys? If they are wrestling, they will only help Lansing and assuming both would be ranked.

How close do you think Emporia is to top 10? I heard they have 70+ guys out this year.

Finally, you have Mason (STA) ranked 4th at 215 and Butler (LV) 8th. It looks like Butler beat Mason this past weekend. Are the tourn results incorrect?

Nathan Wessel will be eligible in January and Tyler Terron is out for the season with an injury.

Charbonneau's bunch can always be expected to contend. We should see them rise as the season moves along.

Thanks. If Wessel is eligible in Jan, when do you start including him in the rankings? Based on his sophomore year, it looks like he would be the 5A favorite at either 189 or 215. He placed 5th at state his sophomore year, where 189 was pretty tough that year. He also finished 2nd at Bobcat behind Boaz Beard. I'm not sure where he finished at Eudora that year, but I know Dylon Walker was 189 that year also, so it would be interesting to see if they wrestled. Do you know what weight he will be wrestling this year?

Of the top 10 guys at 119, who has Austin Hood beat?

Wessel is a flat out athlete. He has the potential to be a wrecking ball when he hits the mat. There are plenty of others that will be added once they start action. Ethan Mumaw, Zac Dremel, Brent Koehn and possibly Blake Bean are some to look forward to.
