I think Coachjw's daughter's reaction ought to give all of us men an insight into the issue from the perspective of the person being discriminated against because of her gender. I'm all for religious freedom and personal choice, unless that religion or choice attempts to keep an entire class of individuals "in their place" based upon gender, race, ethnic origin, or nationality. We've been there, done that, and are fighting to prevent it around the world.

Let the young man make his choice and practice his religion. Certainly. But don't make him out to be a knight in shining armor for doing so. This was not gallantry.
