"Iowa: 250 +/- schools. 3 classes with 8 districts in each class: Class 3: (big schools) 64 schools with 8 schools per district, Class 2: 90 schools, Class 1: 96 schools. One state tournament site for the individual state tournament. Iowa also has a State Duals tournament. I think the top two teams in each district advance to the 3 class state duals tournament held a week after the individual tournament.. I am not sure all this about Iowa is all corredt. Not explained very well on the IHSAA website."

Here's the corrected part:
3A -- 64 biggest schools (by enrollment); eight eight-team districts, top two in each weight qualify for State. Top two teams in each wrestle in Regional duals, winner goes to State duals

2A -- Next 96 schools. 16 six-team Sectionals, top two in each advance to four-man bracket Districts (12 teams in each, a week later). Top two in each District advance to State. Top two teams from each Sectional advance to a four-team Regional dual with winner going to State duals.

1A -- Remaining 128+ schools, same format as 2A for Sectionals, Districts and Regional duals.

About 290 total schools.

Sectionals were the first Saturday in February, Districts the second and tradional State was this past week (Wednesday-Saturday). State duals are this coming Saturday.

Also Colorado's Regions are just like everyone elses; by enrollment.
