He may only be good for a period though!!! We'll work his tail off the next couple of weeks to try to get him in some kind of wrestling shape.

Please remember to put your USA card number on the sign up form. I must have this to give to Fred Franklin, the event coordinator.
We are working on finalizing the teams and hope to have that complete by Thursday.

If it is not too late, Tate Steele is interested in going at 70 lbs. He is a fifth grader.

This is a lot of money if you are just an alternate? Do alternates get the clothing and things like the others. How does this work?

There are only 3 teams. The additional wrestlers have the chance to go as alternates - with a limit of 2 per team for a total of 6 alternates. The alternates get the same singlet, shorts and t-shirt as everyone else.
Teams were selected by input from 11 or 12 coaches.

Alternates have the option to wrestle on the alternate teams - which is what I recomend because you are assured of more matches - or the alternates can opt to stay with their team and hope that there are alternate kids on the opposing teams that are near their weight.
Last year there were 2 teams made up of alternates from all the states. They are planning on at least 2 alternate teams again this year.

This was one of the tough decisions the coaches had to make, but we felt 12 88 bracket was tougher than the 10 90.

It would be helpful if you would post the minutes from your meeting when you decided the placement of these boys. We would like to know who the coaches are that were at this meeting. It seems that there were weight changes on these boys that were not posted on your "multiple posts in no particular order". I want you and your team of pickers to make us understand why you choose seedings in the order that you did. The 65 to 80#lb picks appear to be manipulated with weight changes and placement of boys that are clearly not seeded correctly. Why is the Onwugbufor moved to a diffrent weight. We also want to know where Trowbridge has wrestled any of these 70lb# this year. Please state where and when these matches took place for I have not found one. A little clarity would be greatly appreciated. It would be nice in previous years that you hold your meeting on a weekend so other coaches can attend that are not over a hundred miles away on a work week or via camra on internet so that all boys can be measured and judged equally. I don't think that should be a problem seeings your results were not posted until today. I know Trackwrestling is not a accurate measure of boys. There are several large tournaments not on track and I have looked at them to. And have yet to find evidence or reasoning of your choices. One last thing is this your private team or is this a sanctioned USA KANSAS team because I am also baffled who the true judge and jury is on the selection process. But if you kindly post those meeting minutes and the coaches that attended I'm sure things will become clear as a bell. Thank you for your time and I hope to have a speedy reply to the questions set forth. Thank you

Sounds to me like you would be an excellent candidate to step up and take over the Elementary Dual teams for next year. It amazes how someone who goes out of their way, spends a ton of extra time trying to get dual teams put together to represent the state of Kansas receives nothing but criticism. Just like a High School dual, you move wrestlers around to make the strongest team possible!
March 25, 2011 08:51 AM ----- We will be having a meeting Tuesday March 29th at 6:30 pm at my office to get started picking the teams. Any coaches that would like to have some input are welcome. The address is 9915 W 21st N - Wichita, KS 67205
It also sounds to me like you should read the posts, maybe then you or your coaches could have made arrangements to be at the meeting! Most people were or are still wrestling on the weekends, and spend Sundays with their families, therefore Tuesday sounded just as good as any. I know on here it also asked to send in any and all information you may have about your child or children that may be interested in wrestling. This was an attempt to make meeting a little easier, but you can't please everyone!!
