Negativity, can you explain where that is at????? I think Paola should be proud of their title, as a matter of fact I know I was talking to Mark Slyter and others about the likelihood they would win it even before the finals. The Brawlers were close, and they are a club I also greatly admire and respect but I thought that the numbers where just with Paola. As to my original "mythical" comment, it is exactly what “The State Title,” is, and has been for years. For example, can you tell me where the "official" recognition or trophy is for the title? It don't exist, that don't mean it don't make it fun though. As to my comment about advancement and placement points, that is the NFHS scoring system, to assume that we are using "their" system to determine a winner is not exactly true. We are using part of their system to determine the winner. With the numbers sent it would still more than likely be Paola. It don’t change the fact that at least I would be interested to see if the scoring would have been any different. 311Fan, don’t you think the contributions of all wrestlers should have some measure of importance when it comes to determining a “team” title? I do, I also believe that the NFHS’s do as well, which is why they use it as a part of their system. Then again, that seems a bit unfair for Derby Paola or whoever based on the numbers of wrestlers sent because they sent large numbers and pull from large clubs, with the exception of the Brawlers, which to me makes their feet even more impressive. Paola should be proud, they, and the Brawlers have great clubs, as does Derby. I hope you are not assuming that I was pulling just for Derby, if so there are about 70 kids I have helped coach over the last few weeks among which several of them with different clubs including the Brawlers and Paola will tell you that I went to them to wish them luck before the finals ceremony. Reading about the results from clubs like Russell are also impressive, but they would never have a shot based on the fact that they have fewer wrestlers and pull from a smaller community. As to 311fan please don't assume things are negative in any way, you are sadly mistaken and trying to make up something that just don't exist if you are implying that the posts on here have been negative. Truth is the only post I see negative is the one saying that Derby is complaining. I think any club should make comment if the initial reports were wrong, as the initial reports, for whatever reason, and I believe an honest mistake where as wrong as they were.
