Courtney Strauss, Abilene, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to wrestle at Bethany College for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Strauss comes to Bethany from Abilene High School, where he wrestled and played football. He is a two-time state runner-up in wrestling.

Head Wrestling Jacob Marrs says, "Courtney is a tremendous athlete who comes from a powerhouse program at Abilene. He has a great foundation and is very coachable. We expect him to become a tough college wrestler and a leader for our program."

Strauss is the son of Doran and Becky Strauss and plans to major in physical education teaching.
