Dylan Schumacher has not lost to Brice Shoemaker. He has lost to Dalton Miller, Bo Pursel, and split with Tim Prescott. He has beat many All-Class wrestlers including Brice Shoemaker, Alex Garcia, Taelor Mendenhall, Gage Younger, Calvin Ochs, Clay Mulliagan, and over quality guys like Tyler Dickman and Alex Kough. I keep hearing he does not have quality wins, but it seems he does.

Mike, I think you misread something because no said he had lost to Bryce. However, I am a strong supporter of putting Dylan at the number 1 spot. He has more state championships than the guys ranked above him. Since there is no head to head criteria between any of them I think its safe to put him at number 1. A simple break down will show why as well: Haralson: Split with Hood (Hood has last win), I think the only common is between Haralson and Schumacher is Dalton Miller (Correct me if I'm wrong Chief) and they both lost. Haralson's state placings are 2nd in 2010 and 4th in 2011. Olsen: beat Hood, lost to Haralson. 2nd at Missouri State in 2011. No commons with Schumacher. Hood: 2 State titles, has the most national success in his class, both Hood and Schumacher have wrestled and beaten Bryce Shoemaker and Taelor Mendenhall.
Chief argues that because of Hoods national success he deserves the nod over Dylan. Reasonable. My argument is since there is so much confusion between the current top 3 why not move Schumacher to number 1? TMP does go to the bobcat this year so you can't say they don't go to any tough tournaments. He has more State Championships than the top 3 and apparently plenty of quality wins. What say you Chief?

Austin Hood is the most decorated wrestler that we have in Kansas right now. Without a head to head win, I cannot move Dylan above him. The quality wins that Hood, Haralson and Olsen have are on another level than those listed above.
I look forward to Eudora and the Bobcat!

Olsen will beat Haralson this weekend at Eudora With the talent in this group, Olsen and Haralson may not even wrestle each other. I haven't seen Olsen wrestle much, but I have seen Hood, Shoemaker and Haralson plenty. It may be any given wrestler on any given day, especially with these accomplished wrestlers.

126 @ the Bobcat will be loaded with QUALITY wrestlers,if any of the Ks guys come out on top of this collection of talent then most likely you could have a clear cut 126 #1 in the All Class GW Harding Collinsville Ok Fargo Runner up Ok State Champ Dylan Schumacher TMP 3x Ks State Champ Bryce Shoemaker Baldwin Ks State Champ Daniel Lewis Mo State Champ (could be 120?) Brad Perkins Mo State Champ (might be injured or @ 120) Michael Olsen Lansing Mo runner up Im certainly missing some good in and out of state guys as well this is just the top 6 that came to thought! Good luck to all

It wont matter much in the long run.
They will have to wrestle the best to win.
The older I get the better I was!

"much" is the key word. Many times the true final is in the semis.

Are those all class rankings current? Borgan Humphry that low??? Have you guys seen this kid wreslte? That low? Are you being serious? I think he is pretty dang high even though he is a state champion. He is #3 behind Kriss and Charbonneau, both state champions. All those guys at 138 are tough. He would have his hands full with most of them, especially Williams, R. Humphrey, Heincker, Ochs and obviously Kriss and Charbonneau. He barely beat Ochs at state last year. And of course "we" have seen him wrestle, many times, particularly in folkstyle. Even watched him this summer at the junior duals in FS/GR. Anybody that knows anything about Kansas wrestling knows about Brogan and how good he is and how accomplished he is. No one is certainly disrespecting him but don't be disrespecting those other guys by talking about how "low" Brogan is. I personally think he could be too high. It would be nice if he actually had a tougher schedule so we could see him tested throughout the season like a lot of those other guys are. Then we could see how good he really is, with all due respect.

Asking, "Why is this guy above that guy" or saying, "I can't believe you have that guy ranked" is not criteria. Just state your evidence and if found substantive, I will change it.

None of those wrestlers have criteria over him. Nor does he have criteria over them.

Oh but I think he does... Dylan Schumacher 3 state championships>0 Haralson, Olsen Dylan Schumacher 3 state championships>2 Austin Hood But you will argue... Austin Hood 2 state championships, Folkstyle Nationals Championship, Freestyl Nationals Championship, and Greco National Runner-up> Dylan Schumacher 3 State Championships Which I agree with however with the current mix up in which Olsen beat Hood, Hood split with Haralson (Hood with the last win), and finally Haralson beat Olsen I would just go ahead and throw Schumacher up at 1 and see how Bobcat shakes out. Hood is the only one with notable criteria over Schumacher out of the three but Hood has losses to both of Haralson and Olsen. Since neither Haralson or Olsen have criteria over Schumacher then he should get the nod over them.

In reference to Eudora's 126 bracket...In a great weight with multiple kids that will be in the mix for a state title...Hood looked really good!!!
So did all of them, but Hood made a statement.
