My point is your record does not always indicate the accurate levels of achievement.
sure it does. an accurate statement is that maynes and roberson beat everyone who wrestled them throughout their 4 years in high school. the toughness of their schedule, and the level of competition they faced is purely subjective. roberson was a 2x NCAA finalist, and a NCAA champion, that is accurate. does that mean that he was better than others before him or after? that is subjective.
The KC Classic, The Walsh Ironman, The Beast of the East, The Cheesehead, etc. are way tougher and in an entirely different level than any tournament KS ever had.
no arguments about the tournaments in these states being tougher. but other than the KC Classic, these tourney are too far for KS teams to compete in by KSHAA rule. can't fault the wrestlers for where they compete.
