In regards to the tournament schedule. . . my experience over many years of organizing and managing invitational and regional tournaments is #1 90% of your fans are going to be there the entire day. #2 There is no reason to sit around and wait waiting for some arbitrarily announced starting time (people DO get cranky sitting around waiting). Even those who are good estimators of wrestling time do not know the fullness of brackets when they set the schedule, nor do they know the number of pins, the amount of blood time, injuries, etc. etc. all things that can slow or speed up a tournament.

The rule of thumb is it is better to be behind schedule than ahead, so the "safe" option is to set a time that is early . . . which also has its own set of problems as it relates to dance teams, pep bands, etc.
