I was a little let down by the final 20 seconds of the 5a HWT match.

The biggest dissapointment for me was that BTK killed the wrestling media this weekend! Darn him!

Get used to it! With the split of the tournament, I agree with Hovey, the best media attention is probably in the past.

It showed about an inch below my singlet. I worked pretty hard this year to get disqualified out of my last match like that.
I saw that. You were a little ticked off when you came back out.

Biggest disappointment:

Not all wrestlers were healthy as many were sick or had been sick the week of State. I wish they all could have been healthy.

the BIGGEST disappointment at Hays was the AWFUL refs. Lack of consistency on calls. Also, the cost to get in the doors....$9.50 for adults. WHOA thats alot.

I was disappointed and irritated, although I laughed afterwards when I got home and thought about it, when some old guy hit me with a cane when I stopped in front of him to cheer during Dut Foster's match. I found that extremely rude. I beleive he was wearing red, maybe from Oberlin, not for sure.
(Don't mean to offend anyone from Oberlin, as I am not 100% sure of the team and was probably just one old cranky guy that doesn't reflect on your fans as a whole)

Do something...act stupid.

My biggest disappointment this year was not being able to see my old high school team wrestle. I am officiating every weekend so I don't get the chance to go see them. And I wasn't paying attention this year when I scheduled the weekend of state or I would have found something closer to Wichita so that I could have shot over there to catch some of the action. I'll be more careful next year.

I can verify that they had small and medium shirts because I bought several of them. To get them, I've learned through experience that on Thursday night, during the warm-up time, you have to rush over to that little room down the back hall to get them right at 6:30pm when they first start selling them. I would be shocked to hear if by noon on Friday there were any small or mediums available. It is the same story every year. Hmmmmmm.....you'd think that someone would catch on and want to make a little money. Maybe next year, we could all chip in and print up some smalls and mediums and open our own concession for the "size challenged".

When I arrived at 8:00am (Hayes) to hang banners (we weren't allowed in Thursday evening) the t-shirts were just being set up, so I don't think I missed getting a smaller size, but maybe Wichita was different. I did think about setting up a booth and selling nothing but smalls, mediums, and children's sizes for all the siblings. Profits could go towards scholarships or something else that would benefit the wrestlers and not some unknown entity that doesn't cater to our wants. :-)

I still can't get over having to pay for the hospitality room. I wouodl vote to leave the food out of there and just give us the bare items and not make people pay.

Someone asked if Hays we had to pay- the answer was no- and thank goodness because I never bring enough money the way it is.

Every place has its ups and downs but I would liek to add that hays is very expensive for the spectators because of concessions. If you take you family then it can become expensive. I know they have their set prices but it is tough on the working family when you go out there. I need to ask me boss for a raise just before we head out maybe *L*. Specially if they charge us for hospitality

Curtis, I know we all kid you for the finals matchup, but I wouldn't bang your head about it. You'll end up going to college and probably lasting longer then some other guys that are "studs" will. You get to start all over again in college.

I agree with Swayz, Curtis, you have nothing to be ashamed of and have a proven track record. A very talented and accomplished wrestler, as well as a decent person. You will go far in life!

Curtis, don't get me ticked off at you. Let me make something clear, people know that I speak what I believe to be truth, whether people like it or not is another matter.

Here is what I know; Curtis Chenoweth is a champion, a champion on the mat and a champion off the mat. I observed that last night from watching you wrestle and interact with the kids at the clinic for Tyler. I don't say this much, but you need help going to college, I'll be glad to vouch for your character and attitude any day of the week. I know from working with college coaches that you have both of those areas as well as the reality that you are a great wrestler going for you. I'll leave it at that, but man if you was around, I might have to dog slap you or something for saying that you were anything less than a success. Now hit the books, finish the academics strong and enjoy a successful college carreer!
